Form Immigrant visa Diversity

Diversity with Immigrant Visa
When you travel to another country, you are most likely going to need a type of visa, especially for a long term stay. In most countries you will need a traveler’s visa even if you plan on just visiting or enjoying a vacation. Some countries also offer a working holiday visa where you can remain a traveler but also work for a certain amount of time. For those who do not just want to travel, but actually want to work, live and stay in a country, you will need an immigrant visa.

In general an immigrant visa allows you to work and live in the United States or another country. There are several of different names for the types of immigrant visas and the different subclasses may differ from country to country.

The United States of America is a melting pot of different people, different cultures and different beliefs. However, the diversity of the people and the landscape of the United States is what makes America so incredible.

To come to America on an immigrant visa you will need to have a US Citizen sponsor you. This can be done several different ways.

Various Forms for Immigrant Visa Application
There are three main ways to come to America on an immigrant visa. The first is through family immigration which includes child adoption and spouses or fiancé(e)’s of US citizens or permanent residents.

The second is through an employer sponsorship where you employer will fill out the form, pay the fee to keep you working for them. If you are an asset to your company then this may be the right immigrant visa for your situation.

The final type of visa is for special immigrants. This includes Iraqi or Afghan translators, Iraqis that worked on behalf of the US Government and religious workers.

If you do not fit into these categories there are ways to petition to receive a different type of immigrant visa. You will need to look into the Diversity Visa Program for registration information.

A Lottery Draw or Legal Proceedings in Immigrant Visa?
The amount of time you wait for your visa to be approved varies as does each case. Some people may think that the United States simple picks and chooses who they let in on each day. Perhaps one day the immigration approval officer is in a good mood and approves all the applications while the next day the immigration officer is in a bad mood and denies the applications.

Even though it may seem as random as a lottery draw, the immigration proceedings are actually extremely complex. There are several different factors to consider in every situation and thus it takes a long time.
